![]() I usually go for 8 (or 10) Lore, 8 Survival, 4 Athletics and the rest I put in Stealth. If you don't want to use consumables, skip it. Survival: If you want to use consumables a lot (they are very powerful, but some people don't like the kerfuffle) then it's a great skill. Mechanics: I you want your paladin to be that traps and secrets guy, then you have to max this. In my opinion nobody needs more than 10 Lore. The dialogue options you get from high Lore stop at lower values - I think 6 but I'm not sure. With 10 Lore you can use all scrolls there are. Lore is useful up to a value of 10 (or 8 if you have an item that gives +2 Lore - there are some). Maybe in this case you need 5 or 6 (maybe somebody else knows better). You can go higher if you want to unlock Athletic-related dialogue- and scripted-sequence-options. That can be quite important if you put all your effort in maxing out FoD damage.Īthletics: don't need to be higher than 3 or 4, so don't waste too many points on that. Because: if you open the encounter from stealth with a FoD-shot, encounter will start AFTER the shot falls and you will still have two uses of FoD - which makes 3 uses for one fight. Stealth: If you want to use your Paladin as a quick switching Alpha-Striker with Flames-of-Devotion-shots from two or three guns, then I would recommend high Stealth (up to 8 maybe). ![]() And with Retaliate armor, Deep Wounds seem to apply to those who attack you.It strongly depends what you want to do with your paladin. I got a feeling that this ability was made for the Ranged Rogue. So no Superb enchatment.Īs for Deep Wounds, I just chose it for the extra damage. I would wear a no-armor clothing, but in my playthrough, I chose to spare the Adra Dragon (for RP reasons). But the Stiletto build is just for people who prefer typical "dagger" type Rogues, which is not really that bad. If we get to fight high endurance monsters in the future expansions/sequels, it might come useful even at 10%.ĭual Scimitars are awesome, I've tried it. The reason I took the talent is just for future-proofing reasons. I'm hoping the devs would bump it up to at least 30%-40% in future patches. Yeah, I know Bloody Slaughter kinda sucks right now. Does it scale with +dmg and +crit? I hit "some boss" (can't remember) with a crit for >180 dmg I think with Finishing Blow. Does it add damage to every attack? Because a little dot seems pointless when you kill something in less than 2 seconds. I see a lot of people taking deep wounds, but I don't know why. Who needs armor when your enemies can't see you for all of their innards being out in the open? I also used a superbly enchanted, crush resistant, clothing item for end game instead of armor. I know it says "Stilettos" in the topic, so I guess that's not open for debate, but dual scimitars deals a truckload of more damage. You know that extra crit damage you get with the talent? Yeah - that is only for crits that are activated due to this specific talent. I would much rather have Shadowing Beyond, as it can save my day and ruin someone elses a lot more often than a little extra damage on the occasional crit when a mob happens to be a few frames away from dead. TEN! That's as good as never IMO, and a waste of a talent. Now the comments:īloody Slaughter activates when the enemy is below 10% health. Nice post! (Just thought I'd get that in there before I start making suggestions ) Very close to my potd build.
